Project Description

Crafting automated monitoring systems to gather and analyze data on various metrics within the manufacturing process. Subsequently, to create a one-stop dashboard to compile, simplify, and model process anomalies for process improvement.

Project Scope

You will be introduced to the photolithography process and cutting-edge lithography tools used in a wafer fabrication plant. Your project scope (as an engineering intern) involves the development and implementation of automated monitoring systems under the guidance of a senior engineer. Specific tasks may include:

• Assisting in software solution development and implementation to collect data on various key production metrics.
• Creating dashboards and visualization tools to help operators and engineers quickly identify trends and anomalies.
• Helping develop algorithms or models to identify trends and correlations that can support process optimization and improvement.
• Collaborating with other engineers, operators, and management to identify opportunities for process improvement and to develop solutions addressing issues identified through the monitoring system.
• Working closely with IT, SMAI, Transformative, and other data science teams to support ongoing development and maintenance of the monitoring system.

Deliverables

• Fully functional dashboard that captures and analyzes key process metrics in real time or near real time.
• Documentation, user manuals, and training materials to help operators and key stakeholders understand how to use the system effectively.
• Presentation to the team on progress and findings, including visualization and insights from data analysis.
• Responsibility for troubleshooting and maintaining the system to ensure continued effective operation over time.

Skillset Required

Applicants pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering with demonstrated proficiency and strong coding capabilities are encouraged to apply.
