## Role details

The Site Management team has the overall responsibility for managing infrastructure space, power, physical security and structured cabling across Squarepoint’s data centers, offices, and colocation facilities. This team collaborates closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to establish and enforce design standards, implementation strategies, techniques, runbooks, and procedural documents that govern the delivery of infrastructure projects globally, ensuring consistency and quality.

This role is essential to new construction, expansion, relocation, and capital improvement projects requiring strong project management, IT network and server infrastructure knowledge, and an understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering. Qualified candidates will be process-driven, critical thinkers with the aptitude to work on large projects with many dependencies.

## Position Overview

  
- Collaborate with infrastructure stakeholders to develop, implement, and continuously improve standards and runbooks used in the design and commissioning of data centers, offices, and colocation facilities.
  
- Lead and direct vendors via Scope of Work and Requests for Proposals/Information documents.
  
- Manage the fit-out/build-out of construction projects to ensure alignment with stakeholder requirements.
  
- Provide capacity, inventory, and alert management; analyze data and make recommendations for improvement.
  
- Anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner, minimize unplanned downtime, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  
- Initiate and carry out projects that add capability, improve efficiency, and/or reduce operating costs.
  
- Manage IMACs in data centers and colocation sites, and participate in scheduled power-downs for all facilities.

## Required Qualifications

  
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Technology Engineering.
  
- Understanding of basic power calculations on single- and 3-phase circuits, electrical diagrams, and control diagrams.
  
- Excellent communication skills.
  
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  
- Ability to travel globally.

## Nice to Have

  
- Knowledge of a scripting language (e.g., Python).
  
- Electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge of systems such as feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS, ATS switches, PDU units, and HVAC systems.
  
- Record of accomplishment in problem solving and project management.
  
- Internship experience in facility management, data center operations, or power generation/distribution.

_The minimum base salary for this role is $100,000 if located in New York. This figure is based on information available at the time of posting. The role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, which could constitute a significant portion of total compensation.
