The Standard

The Standard partnered with the University of Texas at Dallas in April 2026 to fund a renewable, four-year scholarship of up to $5,000 a year for students in UT Dallas's actuarial science program, a Society of Actuaries-recognized Center of Actuarial Excellence. The scholarship is paired with a paid internship at The Standard during the school year or over the summer. Separately, the firm scored 100 on Disability:IN's Disability Equality Index and was named a Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion in 2024, its third consecutive year of that recognition. For an actuarial-science student at UT Dallas specifically, this is a rare pipeline that converts a scholarship directly into a paid internship rather than a competitive open application, though it is limited to that one university.
