Internship and graduate hiring at Tekever
What makes Tekever distinctive among European defence-tech companies?
Tekever was confirmed as a unicorn in May 2025, valued above £1bn and backed by the NATO Innovation Fund and Baillie Gifford among others, the same month it launched OVERMATCH, a five-year £400m programme to build UK infrastructure, skills and manufacturing capacity that the firm projects will create more than 1,000 jobs.
- In May 2026 the British Army selected Tekever for Project Nyx, developing an autonomous "loyal wingman" platform to fly alongside Apache helicopters
- A new Bristol Centre for Autonomy and Engineering, opening June 2026, will hold capacity for up to 150 staff, alongside sites at West Wales Airport, Southampton and a planned Swindon manufacturing centre
- Its systems have logged more than 10,000 combat flight hours over three years of deployment alongside Ukrainian forces
OVERMATCH's job growth is concentrated in a handful of named, government-linked programmes rather than a broad annual graduate intake, so current UK openings cluster around the specific sites and functions - autonomy engineering, flight operations, supply chain - that these programmes are building out around Bristol, Swindon and West Wales.
