Supabase

Supabase is an open-source Postgres development platform, an alternative to Firebase, and was built remote-first: its 280+ team members work fully remotely across 55+ countries, and the company states it hires "the best person for the job regardless of geography" (Who We Hire at Supabase). It operates without managers, running autonomous product teams on roughly three-month cycles, and develops its codebase in the open on GitHub; independent reporting puts it at a $5bn valuation on $500m raised since its 2020 Y Combinator start (TechCrunch). Supabase runs no graduate scheme or summer-intake program, and roles are posted and filled individually on a rolling basis. For an early-career applicant that means there is no application season to time and no cohort to join: public open-source contribution to the Supabase repositories is a more direct signal than a timed application, and new hires are expected to self-direct from their first week.
