• New grad software engineer: full-time salaried, hired into a discipline (Frontend, Backend, etc.) with specific team placement set near the start date. Start dates are offered "one per month" rather than a single cohort intake, giving candidates more flexibility on graduation timing than a fixed September window.

The two tracks are the only published early-career pipelines; locations across both are New York City (HQ), Dublin, Portugal, and Remote.

Squarespace is headquartered in New York's West Village and is one of the few mainstream consumer-internet platforms whose engineering centre of gravity sits in NYC rather than the Bay Area, with a second engineering hub in Dublin. Three things are unusual at the early-career stage: every intern across every team is paid at 100% (engineering and non-technical alike, not just SWE interns); new-grad start dates run monthly rather than as one September cohort; and project examples the firm cites — the 404 page, TLD recommendations, a PayPal integration supporting nonprofits — sit on the live customer surface rather than being scoped as throwaway intern projects. For a candidate choosing between an NYC tech employer with a single product surface and a larger Bay-Area platform with rotational programs, the trade-off is concentration on one shipping product against the breadth of multi-business-line rotations elsewhere.
