How Perplexity interviews
Perplexity publishes its interview process as four stages: a recruiter phone screen, a technical assessment (a standard programming interview for engineering roles), an onsite of four to five interviews including a deep-dive with the hiring manager, and a final interview with a Perplexity founder or leader.
The firm commits to responding to applications within two weeks of submission and to issuing an offer decision within a week of the onsite. The deep-dive expects a candidate to walk through one past project at detail, so preparation concentrates on a small number of well-rehearsed artefacts rather than spreading thinly across coding drills.
