OpenBet is a business-to-business supplier of sportsbook and gaming technology to bookmakers, lotteries, and regulated betting operators rather than a consumer-facing betting brand, with more than 25 years in the industry tracing back to its 1996 founding as Orbis Technology. It has changed owners twice in recent years: Endeavor bought it from Light & Wonder (formerly Scientific Games) for roughly $800 million in September 2022, then sold it back to its own management for $450 million in a buyout completed 24 March 2025, when CEO Jordan Levin and fellow executives, backed by Ari Emanuel, took the company independent again.
