Newrez runs four named early-career pathways (programs overview):

• Fast Track Internship Program: a 10-week summer internship for rising seniors graduating between fall 2026 and spring 2027, with roles across functions from Community Investment to Strategic Sourcing, plus training workshops, networking and volunteer events
• TRAIL (Tools Required for Advancement into Leadership): a one-year, full-time rotational program for recent graduates with a minimum 3.0 GPA in accounting, analytics, business, economics or finance, based in Fort Washington PA, Greenville SC, Houston TX or Tempe AZ
• The Academy: an in-house training program that develops new hires into Mortgage Loan Originators through instructor-led coursework and hands-on practice in Newrez's own mortgage systems
• DOW SkillBridge® Fellowship: a Department of Defense-approved placement, announced November 2025, for active-duty servicemembers in their final 180 days of service, pairing them with a Newrez mentor for a hands-on mortgage-industry role

TRAIL is explicit that it is not an internship: participants are full-time, salaried employees from day one, a materially different commitment from the 10-week Fast Track internship even though both feed the same entry-level pipeline.

It also holds a Military Friendly® Gold Employer designation for 2026 and is a Department of Defense-approved SkillBridge partner. For an early-career applicant, the national servicer/lender ranking means a rotation through TRAIL or the Fast Track internship sits inside a large-scale operating business rather than a regional shop, while the SkillBridge partnership and Gold-level Military Friendly status point to a structured, differentiated path for anyone transitioning from active duty.
