GoTo Group was formed by the 2021 merger of Indonesian super-app Gojek and e-commerce marketplace Tokopedia, and its early-career hiring runs both at the holding-group level and through its operating subsidiaries (careers hub). Two paths are visible to candidates:

• The platform recorded 69 million annual transacting users in Q1 2026, up 22% year-on-year, and the firm itself states it accounts for roughly 2.2% of Indonesia's GDP — a scale most regional consumer-internet roles do not reach.
• The 2021 Gojek-Tokopedia tie-up was the largest merger in Indonesian corporate history and the 2022 IPO was the country's largest tech listing, so a hire sits inside a still-integrating multi-product ecosystem rather than a single-product startup.
• Early-career hiring is concentrated in Jakarta (the operating hub) and Singapore (group functions, particularly data, AI and risk); the firm has comparatively little US or EMEA presence visible on its job board.

For a candidate weighing a regional Indonesian platform against a US- or Europe-headquartered tech employer, the trade-off is concrete: the scale of consumer impact is large but the brand recognition is regional, and almost every route in goes through Jakarta — geographically a different proposition from remote-from-anywhere roles at globally distributed firms.
