Two paths are visible to candidates:

• GoTo Group Internship Program: a structured annual cohort scheme aimed at final-year university students, run primarily in Jakarta. The most recent intake closed on 21 December 2025 with the cohort starting in 2026; the program is not currently advertised as open.
• Rolling intern and entry-level postings on the firm's Lever job board – at the time of writing this includes openings for Data Scientist, AI Linguistic Voice, Tax and Data Science interns split across Jakarta and Singapore.

The main careers hub also routes applicants to the Gojek Careers and GoTo Financial career pages for subsidiary-specific roles. The practical consequence for someone applying outside the annual cohort window is that individual intern roles open and close independently through the year, so the live play is to monitor the Lever board rather than wait on a single intake date.

Three things stand out:

• The platform recorded 69 million annual transacting users in Q1 2026, up 22% year-on-year, and the firm itself states it accounts for roughly 2.2% of Indonesia's GDP – a scale most regional consumer-internet roles do not reach.
• The 2021 Gojek-Tokopedia tie-up was the largest merger in Indonesian corporate history and the 2022 IPO was the country's largest tech listing, so a hire sits inside a still-integrating multi-product ecosystem rather than a single-product startup.
• Early-career hiring is concentrated in Jakarta (the operating hub) and Singapore (group functions, particularly data, AI and risk); the firm has comparatively little US or EMEA presence visible on its job board.

For a candidate weighing a regional Indonesian platform against a US- or Europe-headquartered tech employer, the trade-off is concrete: the scale of consumer impact is large but the brand recognition is regional, and almost every route in goes through Jakarta – geographically a different proposition from remote-from-anywhere roles at globally distributed firms.
