On 1 June 2026 it completed an all-stock merger with dbt Labs, first announced in October 2025, combining data ingestion and transformation into a single platform serving more than 100,000 data teams globally; Fraser continues as CEO of the combined company, with dbt Labs' Tristan Handy as president. The engineering organization is still integrating two previously separate product lines and technology stacks, so a new hire joining now is more likely to work across both data-movement and transformation systems than they would have at either company alone before the merger.
