AIB runs a multi-track graduate programme through its Future Talent Programmes hub. For the September 2026 intake the firm fielded six distinct tracks per the AIB UK programme listing and the equivalent Republic-of-Ireland postings: Retail Banking, Risk Graduate Analyst, Finance & Accounting, Finance Data Analyst, Group Internal Audit (Dublin), and AIB UK Graduate Development (Belfast or London). Most tracks run as a 23-month rotational contract from September 2026 to August 2028; Finance & Accounting and Finance Data Analyst extend to roughly 3.5 years to accommodate professional-qualification study leave. A 12-month Marketing Internship (Dublin, 2026) is currently open alongside these. The track choice is consequential: a graduate is committing to one stream for two-plus years rather than rotating across business lines, so picking Risk versus Finance versus Retail at application is the practical decision, not a later one.

AIB's Future Talent Programmes page currently lists only the Marketing Internship 2026 (Dublin, 12 months, posted 21 May 2026, closing 29 May 2026). The 2026 graduate-cohort tracks — Retail Banking, Risk Graduate Analyst, Finance & Accounting, Finance Data Analyst, Group Internal Audit and AIB UK — had January 2026 closes; the UK programme closed 4 January 2026 per its archived listing. AIB has not yet published 2027-cohort dates, so a candidate aiming at the next graduate intake is in a between-cycles wait, planning against the firm's reposting of these tracks rather than against any current window.

AIB is one of two pillar banks in the Irish system and reported a €2.1 billion 2025 profit after tax, serving 3.4 million customers across more than 170 branches. The firm organises around five segments — Personal Banking, Business Banking, Capital Markets, Private Banking and Climate Capital — which is also the shape a graduate maps onto when choosing a track. RTÉ's coverage of the 2025 annual results reports a 25% return on tangible equity and a CET1 ratio of 16.2%, with new lending of €14.7 billion. For an early-career candidate, the consequence is sector exposure: AIB means an Irish-domestic franchise with concentrated retail-banking and SME-lending depth, rather than the global-markets breadth an international bank of similar headcount would offer.
